Many communities and organizations have picked up the fun Halloween tradition of Trunk-or-Treating. If you're not familiar with this craze, it's basically Trick-or-Treating in a controlled environment like a parking lot. 

Cars take the place of homes: families still hand out candy, kids still get dressed up and enjoy the spoils of their labor, but it's trunk-to-trunk instead of door-to-door, and usually during the day. Read: it's safer.
