For the 2017 model year the Subaru BRZ brings a great deal of performance, especially while traveling on open roads and on any tracks. Keep reading to learn more about the 2017 Subaru BRZ with its available Performance Package, and how this type of vehicle configuration could be exactly what you are looking for!

Performance Monitoring

The vehicle's 4.2-inch driver information readout allows access to monitor vehicle performance features such as an integrated stop watch to record lap times, battery voltage, a monitor for water and oil temperature, the vehicle's steering angle, braking force, accelerator pedal position and lateral Gs. This driver information display is located to the right of the tachometer in the car's gauge cluster.

The Engine and Its Related Components

For an engine you will have a 2.0-liter SUBARU BOXER unit. This engine comes with a direct-and-port-injected system that helps provide 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. This engine is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission that offers close ratios. The engine has also been placed low and rearward to give you a car that offers excellent rear-wheel drive handling dynamics, lightning reflexes, a very low center of gravity and the ideal amount of balance. The car's incline start assist holds the vehicle for a few seconds before you start driving up a hill to make for an almost non-existent risk of rolling back.

A Special Performance Package

If you want a sports car that will provide tons of features, then you can purchase the 2017 Subaru BRZ with the available Performance Package. If you get the BRZ with a manual transmission in the Limited model then this Package will be available to you. This Package provides large brake rotors for both the front and rear brakes. It will also give you Brembo calipers. This type of braking system will provide the vehicle with a huge boost in pedal feel, fade resistance and stopping power. You can count on having a 4.1:1 gear shifting ratio. The vehicle's track button can be pressed to turn off the car's stability control.

Getting the interesting Performance Package will also provide 17" x 7.5" black aluminum wheels. These wheels are unique in their appearance. All four corners of the car also come with SACHS Performance shock absorbers. Those absorbers improve cornering and ride stability.
