Subaru's largest SUV ever is back for the 2020 model year. The three-row Subaru Ascent with seating for seven or eight has plenty of space for the entire family and is perfect for summer road trips. So it's only fitting that the 2020 Subaru Ascent is set to arrive at dealerships this very summer.

The family-focused SUV comes with either second-row captain chairs or second-row bench seating and up to nine different seating configurations. Second-row bench seats come standard and provide seating for eight. While easier access to the third row can be achieved with second-row captains chairs available with the Limited and Premium models, captain chairs reduce seating to seven. The Subaru Ascent also comes standard with roof rails so with the proper accessories you can carry extra cargo, kayaks, bicycles, and more.

Each version of the Ascent comes standard with a high-torque Lineatronic CVT with an eight-speed manual mode function, steering wheel paddle shifters, and X-mode with hill descent control. The Ascent is capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds and comes with Trailer Stability Assist, the system maintains vehicle stability by braking individual wheels.

The advanced safety features continue with automatic pre-collision braking, lane departure and sway warning, adaptive cruise control, EyeSight assist monitor, and pre-collision throttle management which all come standard with Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
