Base
All trims of the 2020 Forester come with a 2.5-liter
four-cylinder engine with 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque that sends
power to all four wheels. All Foresters connect to a CVT automatic
transmission. As for features, the base has a rearview camera, push-button
start, and 17-inch steel wheels with all-season tires. Also standard is
Subaru's Starlink app and EyeSight driver-assist system, which comes with a
suite of driver assistance systems. Tech features include a 6.5-inch
touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Premium
The Premium comes with a ton of appealing upgrades,
including a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, raised roof rails, and
hill descent control. Also standard is an All-weather package that includes
heated seats, heated side mirrors, and a windshield wiper de-icer. If you tend
to spend a lot of time on the trail, the package also offers a Wi-fi hotspot
and the X-Mode traction system.
Sport
Going with the Sport adds more features such as 18-inch
black wheels, LED fog lights, and the option for orange interior and exterior
accents. The Sport also comes with additional driving modes, an extra setting
for the X-mode traction system, as well as paddle shifters to simulate seven
gears. Optional is a package that adds an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation
system, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic
braking.
Limited
The Limited adds even more impressive features such as
adaptive headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, and leather
upholstery. Standard is an 8-inch touchscreen, as well as blind-spot
monitoring, and a power liftgate.
Touring
The top of the trim mountain for the 2020 Forester is the
Touring, which adds a power-adjustable drivers' seat, a heated steering wheel,
heated rear seats, premium leather upholstery, and a driver distraction
monitoring system.
