Trim Levels of the 2020 Subaru Impreza

By Reedman-Toll Subaru

The Subaru Impreza is now in its fifth-generation, and in 2020 there are a few upgrades that keep it fresh. More tech equipment and updated front-end styling contribute to the new features. Like the Impreza's of the past, you can get your vehicle with standard all-wheel-drive, which is a rarity for the class. This is especially compelling if you live around Philadelphia during the winter months as the increased traction is a welcome sight. Under the hood, the 2.0-lite four-cylinder engine provides you with a smooth ride no matter what road you are traveling down. Inside, the Impreza is comfortable and roomy, and there are a lot of drivers safety aids. When you add in the all-wheel-drive, you get a well-rounded vehicle. Four trim levels are available for the Impreza, and each one comes with a terrific array of features. Continue reading as we take on each one.

Starting off the Impreza trim lineup is the base, and it comes with keyless entry, front USB ports, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone capability. As for the engine, the base, as well as all versions of the 2020 Impreza, comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque which comes standard with all-wheel-drive. You get a transmission choice of either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic.

Up next is the Premium, which adds to the base with alloy wheels, heated seats, an extra USB port, and an upgraded audio system. The hatchback version of the Premium gets roof rails and a cargo cover. Standard on the Premium and above is Subaru's EyeSight suite of driver aids, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, automatic reverse braking, and lane departure warning and mitigation. The system is optional for the base.

When you upgrade the Sport you get 18-inch wheels, sporty suspension tuning, and an 8-inch touchscreen. You also get more unique visual touches to give the Impreza a little more flair. Also standard is active torque vectoring, sharp red stitching in the interior, and rocker panels.

At the top of the chain is the Limited, and it adds to the extensive list with  LED headlights, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, 6-way power-adjust seat and blind-spot-monitoring system. You also get a push-button start and PIN code interior access,  a moonroof, and an 8-speaker/432-watt Harman Kardon audio system.
