When the Subaru Outback first went on sale, it provided consumers with a practical alternative to sedans and SUVs. As the years went by, the Outback added more cargo space and ground clearance than its competitors as well as added an off-road capability, sportiness, and more compact size to help it compete with other 3-row SUVs.
