The 2021 Crosstrek has three engine options available. The first engine comes under the hood of the Base and Premium trims. It is a 2.0L flat-four boxer engine that puts out 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque while getting a combined average of 30 MPG. The next engine is a 2.5L flat-four with 182 horsepower,176 lb-ft of torque, and a combined average of 29 MPG. The 2.5L engine is housed by the Sport and Limited trims. Last up is the Crosstrek Hybrid with a 2.0L flat-four engine paired with two electric motors. This provides 137 horsepower and 134 lb-ft of torque while getting 35 MPG in hybrid mode and 90 MPG in electric-only mode. The Crosstrek is rated to tow up to 1,700lbs. Of course, all Crosstrek models come out of the factory with Subaru's world-renowned symmetrical all-wheel drive. The Base and Premium trims come with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) while the Sport and Limited come exclusively with a CVT.

2021 Kia Seltos Power & Handling

While the Crosstrek has three available engines, including a hybrid option, the Seltos only has two. The standard engine is a 2.0L Inline-four cylinder engine that puts out a sluggish 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque and gets an average of 32 MPG. The second available engine is a 1.6L turbocharged I-4. This provides drivers with 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque while getting an average of 27 MPG. Except for the Seltos S, which has front-wheel drive with the option of all-wheel drive, all trim levels come with all-wheel drive. The 2.0L engine comes mated to a CVT transmission while the turbocharged engine pairs with a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission

2021 Subaru Crosstrek Features & Design

Five trim levels make up the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek lineup. Kicking things off is the Base trim. This brings features like 17-inch alloy wheels, a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, roof rails, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, Subaru EyeSight driver aids, and a tilt/telescoping steering column. Next up is the Premium trim, this tacks on impressive features such as fog lights, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Sport trim brings on water-repellent upholstery, keyless entry with push-button start, a sport grille, and unique wheel arch moldings. Kicking off the lineup is the LX trim with features including a 2.0L engine, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, and an 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration. Next is the S trim bringing on features such as roof rails, keyless entry, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and optional all-wheel drive. The S Turbo brings all the features of the S trim with the 1.6L turbocharged engine. The third trim is the EX that offers leather seating, a power sunroof, heated front seats, and a power driver's seat. Topping off the lineup is the SX trim. SX offers things like adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, automatic climate control, and keyless entry/push-button start.
